The MMT Project (MMTx) is a Delaware-chartered non-profit corporation with 501(c)(3) public charity status. It was founded in 2020 and commenced operations in 2024.

Its mission is promote public education and research around money and finance by building upon and further developing the Modern Money (MMT) paradigm.

It is the sister-organization to the Modern Money Network (MMN) and Public Money Action (PMA), and aspires to be the flagship think tank for the progressive MMT community.

Its programs include:

  • maintaining a community resource library;
  • developing curricula and teaching free courses;
  • coordinating, funding, and publishing original research,
  • hosting an annual conference;
  • supporting future community leaders and scholars; and
  • supporting MMN learning communities and PMA organizing campaigns.
